The Traditional Family Dark Night

It’s been a great summer of movie watching for me and the family: The Avengers, Bernie, Spiderman for example. On Thursday, Christopher and I will sit through six hours that is . . . of Batman.

We will be seeing the entire Dark Night Trilogy. That’s right, all three Christopher Nolan movies in one night – going until 2 am or so. Exhausting, but so cool. Our family has a long history of seeing midnight movies. It’s the thing we’ve done with all the Star Wars, Harry Potter, James Bond and Marvel movies. We’ve missed school, been bleary to next day, morning movies, and exhausted ourselves the next morning. But, it’s a great family tradition.

What’s yours?
