This Morning: The Choir Retreat

Each week, our choir learns anthems to be presented as a part of regular worship. We also learn descants, hymns, and responses that a part of worship, too. We prepare ourselves to be the weekly leaders in worship.

In addition, the choir takes on offering special Christmas music, as well as special cantatas and anthems for Holy Week and Easter. We also add longer anthems for special times of the year, too. How, then, do we manage rehearsal time to get it all done?

It is through the choir retreat.

This morning, our chancel choir will be learning that additional music. We are working on the Mozart Te Deum and the Bob Chilcott On Christmas Night.

So, today, a short blog. I hope to have some photos up a bit later. Please be in prayer that we prepare and learn this wonderful music for offering in worship.
