The Best Food Is At The Hole In The Wall

Rhonda and I are taking a couple of days and visiting our families in East Texas and Southwest Arkansas. Last night, we all gathered at this Cajun place near my hometown of Quitman, TX. It is a real dive — particle board walls, dirt drive. Sweet people who run in and he food is great. It’s a un and enjoyable place to gather for our family. Many fun conversations and moments of catching up are held at these tables.

Community isn’t easy to achieve. Perhaps it is best encountered in “hole-in-the-wall” moments. These are moments that are moments that are basic, not showy, functional, honest, simple and well-worn.

When we gather for worship, do we expect God in the Hole-in-the-wall moments? He definitely showed up here, as we interacted with family.
