Veterans Day Approaches

Last night, I sat and watched election coverage. It is truly an amazing thing to live in a country where the passing of power is a peaceable event. Although there may be wailing and gnashing of teeth, no army will be called in to hold onto power. Although we still may be a country divided by ideology and theology, no side will muster support for an overthrow. It’s a great country.

Today, I sit in my office. my computer is down so my business is being conducted via iPad. One of ou congregation members dropped by to give me material for a video shoot. Without an office computer, it makes for a bit more casual time — working with my iPad on my lap.

Coming this Sunday, we will honor our veterans. These are the folks that fought for our rights to do what we did on Tuesday — peaceably elect a leader. So, I’m preparing for this great time of worship.

Hope to see you in church this Sunday.
